Rice Unconventional Wisdom

Staff Advisory Committee Who Knew a top university could also be one of the best places to work?

Subcommittees

The Staff Advisory Committee provides an ongoing structure for communication between the university's administration and staff community. The Associate Vice President for Human Resources, Mary Cronin, serves as the committee's primary liaison with the administration, and the committee nominates fifteen staff representatives for the four subcommittees, including two co-chairs.

Much of the work of the Staff Advisory Committee is carried out by subcommittees. These subcommittees focus on individual problems identified by the full committee. All Rice staff members are welcome to join any of the SAC's four subcommittees. Subcommittees tend to meet once a month. For the complete schedule, log on to webcal.rice.edu, and access the "SAC events" calendar.  For more information about a specific committee, contact one of its co-chairs directly.
